These kinds of trucks can seat from 4 to 6 passengers, and usually provide the most space of all the cab sizes. The Ram 1500 crew cab can seat 6.
What is a crew cab truck used for, usually? Crew cab trucks are designed to transport small work crews from one job site to the next. They are ideally suited for this, due to their extra legroom and headroom.
Quad Cabs are similar to crew cab trucks in that they also have 4 doors, 2 rows, and can hold 4 to 6 passengers. However, those passengers will typically have less room in a Quad Cab. The advantage of a Quad Cab is that it isn’t quite so long of a truck, even with a 6’4” box, so it’s easier to get in and out of tight parking spaces. Quad Cab trucks also cost a little less than Crew Cab trucks. And, a Quad Cab truck may be able to tow a little more because of its lighter cab.
