If you’re looking for a new pickup truck in the Leominster area, you can’t go wrong with a RAM! RAM has a long history of producing top-quality pickup trucks with powerhouse performance, tough off-road capability, and plenty of style inside and out. The flagship of the RAM line is the RAM 1500, while its more affordable cousin, the RAM 1500 Classic, is an excellent choice for drivers who want strong performance at a more affordable price tag. The team at Ron Bouchard Chrysler Dodge RAM has put together a guide comparing the RAM 1500 Classic vs. RAM 1500 below, so you can stay informed as you search for your next ride. Read on and then head to our inventory to see what we have available!
The first significant difference you’ll see in comparing the RAM 1500 vs. RAM 1500 Classic is in their starting prices. Budget-conscious drivers may want to go for the 1500 Classic, since it offers a more affordable starting price while still boasting powerful performance specs and classic RAM capability on and off the Fitchburg roads. However, the RAM 1500 gives you the advantage of choice, with seven available trim levels to the Classic’s three. The RAM 1500 also includes the TRX trim, a supercharged configuration designed specifically for the toughest off-reading. Here’s the full price list:

Another major difference between the RAM 1500 vs. RAM 1500 Classic comes in their engine options. Both come with a standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine and an available 5.7L HEMI V8, but the RAM 1500 comes with three additional engine options: a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine, an eTorque-enhanced mild hybrid 5.7L HEMI V8, and the legendary 6.2L HEMI V8, which is available only on the top-level TRX trim. However, if you don’t want to spring for the TRX trim, you’ll find that the top performance specs for both models are actually the same, although the RAM 1500 can tow 2,000 lbs more than the Classic. Here are the relevant performance specs:
